The Fool’s JourneyExperimental Short Film, 2026, 9:17min
„The Fools Journey“ is an embrace of the arbitrary, failure and intuition. Using an auto-ethnographic approach this work attempts to dismantle fixed notions of identity and proposes dissonance, confusion and playfulness as productive, queer means of self-definition and individual agency.
The project attempts an exploration of what a rural queer aesthetic could be, one that is inherently different from urban queer aesthetics that are prevalent in today‘s queer representation.
The work uses bread as a medium of abstraction, turning towards camp symbolism and metaphor to produce
a narrative that is as vulnerable as it is subversive. It is a personal approach towards navigating the present and accepting a murky and complex past.
