Voyeurism in Fashion

Fashion Collection, 2023

The goal of this collection is to give a glimpse into our dissociated, bored and simultaneously overstimulated society, distilled into the character of Meana Trix, a young, hopeless college dropout, whose only source of emotion and stimulation enlies in obsessing over other peoples’ highs and lows.  Escaping the excruciating boredom of her 9 to 5 job she voyeurs the streets at night, feeding off of the fringes of human experience, the dark, the macabre, the secret and the illegal.  An extreme case of the same ruthless exploitation of the individual, that most everyone of us takes part in, endlessly refreshing our feeds for news and gossip, the trivial and the grande wrongdoings and mishaps of strangers, people we believe to know, blown out of proportion for everyone to feast on.

Executed during my guest-semester at the Fashion Class of the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under the supervision of Grace Wales Bonner.
